The City of Reading has announced the schedule for its 2025 Yard Waste Collection program, which will begin on Monday, March 24, and continue through the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Residents are encouraged to schedule their yard waste collection in advance to ensure timely pickup.
The city offers multiple ways for residents to request a collection. They can call the Streets Division at 610-655-6285, contact the Citizens Service Center at 1-877-727-3234, or use the Reading 311 app, which is available for free on mobile devices.
Yard waste collection will follow a set schedule based on location. Collections on Mondays will cover Northeast Reading and Hampden Heights. On Tuesdays, crews will service areas south of Penn Street, including East Reading, Hessian Camp, and the 18th Ward. Wednesdays will be designated for Northwest Reading, Northmont, Riverdale, and Glenside.
Residents are reminded to properly bundle or bag their yard waste and place it at the curb for collection. The city expressed its appreciation for residents’ cooperation in maintaining clean and green neighborhoods.
