City of Reading announces winners of 2024 Holiday Parade competition

The City of Reading has announced the winners of the 2024 Holiday Parade. This year’s parade delighted attendees with vibrant displays, captivating performances, and festive cheer.

Participants competed in various categories, with winners selected by a panel of local radio personalities: Mike Keller from WEEU Radio, Mateo El Intern from La Mega Radio, and DJ Grooves from LOUD Radio. Their expert evaluations highlighted the outstanding contributions of the community.

In the Best Band category, the Conrad Weiser Marching Scouts claimed first place with their stellar performance, followed by the Exeter Township Senior High School Marching Band in second and the Twin Valley Marching Band in third. These bands filled the streets with music and energy, thrilling the crowd with their impressive musicality and precision.

For Best Performance, the talented Roxy’s Dance Expressions took home the top spot. The Millersville University Dance Team secured second place, while the Red Knights Dance Team finished third, each demonstrating remarkable skill and enthusiasm that embodied the holiday spirit.

The Best Float category saw creative and eye-catching designs. 4 Your Entertainment partnered with the Reading Area Water Authority to deliver a stunning display that earned first place. The Cornerstone Law Firm float came in second, and the heartfelt Superheroes for Autism float captured third place, winning admiration for its message and artistry.

The City of Reading extended heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and expressed gratitude to every participating group for making this year’s parade an unforgettable celebration. Special thanks were also given to the judges, whose expertise helped shine a spotlight on the community’s talent.
