Update: The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has released additional information relative to the investigation into a shooting that occurred in the 400 Block of South 16th St Reading PA on November 5, 2022 at approximately 5:21am. The shooting resulted in the death of Jefferson Etienne, a 38yo Pottstown man. The investigation, led by Criminal Investigator Daniel Cedeno resulted in Homicide charges being filed against Marc Lockman (age 24) and Jabar Hill (age 24). Lockman, who was also injured in the shooting, was taken into custody following his medical treatment. Jabar Hill has not been located and the Reading Police Department is requesting that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the Reading Police Department at 610-655-6116. Original Post: The Reading Police Department Police is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of South 16th Street Saturday morning.
Police say a 38-year-old male victim was transported from the scene to the hospital and is in critical condition.
A second victim was found in the 1300 block of Good Street after fleeing the scene. The second victim, a 24-year-old male, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Details of what lead to the incident were not provided. The investigation is ongoing and police say there is no known ongoing threat to public safety from this incident.
