PA State Police investigating theft of catalytic converter from Sheetz in Shoemakersville

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop L – Hamburg Station is investigating a theft that took place on August 30, 2022, at approximately 2:55am, of a catalytic converter off a Sheetz maintenance van in the Sheetz parking lot in Shoemakersville Borough.

According to Police, an unknown white male suspect arrived at the Sheetz parking lot in an older model gray Nissan Sentra. The unknown suspect proceeded to cut the catalytic converter from underneath the Sheetz van and fled south on Rout 61 from the parking lot.

Surveillance cameras captured the Pennsylvania registration plate of the Nissan, but the letters and numbers were obscured by an unknown object.
