Police seek information after tractor trailer hits utility pole in South Heidelberg

The South Heidelberg Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash after a tractor trailer struck a utility pole and overhead wires along Hill Road on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant property damage in the area.

The incident occurred around 2:48 p.m. on July 1 in the 700 block of Hill Road, near the intersection with Lincoln Drive and Werner Street. According to police, the tractor trailer fled the scene after the collision and was last believed to be heading toward Penn Avenue.

Authorities are asking residents with exterior surveillance cameras in the area to review their footage for any signs of the vehicle, especially those who live along Hill Road, Lincoln Drive, or Werner Street. A screenshot of the tractor trailer is available through the department for reference.
