Police seek information in Robesonia hit-and-run involving tractor-trailer

The South Heidelberg Township Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that caused major utility disruptions in Robesonia Borough and is asking the public for help identifying the vehicle involved.

According to police, the incident occurred between 1:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on June 20. During that time, an unidentified tractor-trailer struck a utility pole on South Robeson Street, between East Oak Avenue and Penn Avenue. The impact caused extensive damage to the pole, leading to a prolonged loss of utility services for local customers.

Despite ongoing efforts, police have not yet located the vehicle or obtained clear surveillance footage from the area.

Residents and businesses are urged to check their surveillance systems for any footage of a tractor-trailer passing through the area during the early morning hours of June 20. Anyone with information is asked to contact SHPD at jlanza@sheidp.org and reference case number 45-25-02426. Tips can also be submitted through the department’s website.

The case remains under investigation.
