The Reading Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place on the evening of January 29, 2025, in the 1200 block of Amity Street.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 8:50 p.m. and discovered 27-year-old Daniela Allende inside a residence with a fatal stab wound to the chest. Authorities confirmed that Allende succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
According to investigators, the stabbing resulted from a domestic dispute between Allende and her ex-boyfriend, 33-year-old Samuel Lopez. Lopez was taken into custody at the scene and is currently awaiting arraignment on homicide charges.
