Reading police investigating shooting that left one man injured

The Reading Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has released details of a shooting investigation that occurred on Memorial Day.

On May 27, 2024, at approximately 07:20 pm officers responded to the area of the 300 block of Linden Street for the report of a male who was shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the back. The victim was transported to Reading Hospital for treatment.

Through the investigation, police determined that the shooting took place in the area of the 500 block of Bingaman Street.

Police say the circumstances of the shooting are currently unknown and still under investigation. No suspect information was available.
