“We were called to this property at the City of Reading several weeks ago for a Code Blue violation. Upon arrival, it was observed that three canines were outside with no suitable shelter. One of the dogs, a German Shepherd type canine, appeared unresponsive,” said Sgt. Hayden Carroll, manager of the Department of Animal Protection of the ARL.

“It was discovered that the canine had various medical conditions that persisted without veterinary care. The conditions were determined to be severe upon intake by ARL’s Medical Team, resulting in the canine being humanely euthanized.”

The woman may face between 3.5 and 7 years of incarceration and up to $15,000 in fines for the felony charge and between 1 and 2 years and $5,000 in fines for each of the misdemeanors’ charges.
