State Police investigate armed bank robbery in Womelsdorf

Original Article: The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an armed bank robbery that took place Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at the Fulton Bank 2400 Conrad Weiser Parkway.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the Fulton Bank at approximately 3:50pm and brandished a 30-30 lever action rifle in his right hand and a camoflouge backpack in his left.

He then approached a Bank Teller and demanded money, canvassed the inside of the bank, and discharged a single shot in the direction of Bank Teller.

The suspect fled the bank in a Silver Chevrolet Impala. Police say the Impala traveled eastbound on Route 422.

State Police describe the suspect as a White male, height 5’5″- 6′, medium build, wearing a blue puffer winter coat, black jogger pants with black gloves. Operating a silver Chevrolet Impala possibly bearing a PA Registration.
