State Police investigating window damage after report of shots fired in Alsace Township

State Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief following a report of shots fired Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Spies Church Road in Alsace Township, Berks County.

According to a public information release from the Pennsylvania State Police Reading Patrol Unit, troopers responded to the area around 7:30 a.m. on July 1 after receiving a report of shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, troopers observed a damaged window at a residence. No injuries were reported, and the incident is currently being investigated as criminal mischief involving property damage under $1,000.

A 67-year-old woman from Reading is listed as the person affected in the report.

State Police say the investigation is ongoing.
