State Police seek public’s help in identifying suspect in wallet theft at Rutter’s

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a wallet theft that occurred at the Rutter’s convenience store on Route 222 in Maxatawny Township on January 16, 2025.

According to police, the incident took place at approximately 12:31 p.m. when a suspect was observed picking up a wallet left behind in the skill machines area of the store. The suspect then left the premises, driving a gray Kia Soul.

The suspect is described as a white male or white Hispanic male, approximately 50 to 65 years old. He has short salt-and-pepper hair, is partially bald, and has a gray goatee. The individual is estimated to be 5’9” to 6’0” tall and weigh between 230 and 250 pounds.

State police have released photographs of the suspect and the vehicle involved and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
