The Cumru Township Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect of a robbery that occurred at the Sunoco A-Plus on Lancaster Avenue Saturday, February 19, 2022 around 8:25am.
Upon arrival, Cumru Township Police say they received information a male wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripes, unique footwear appearing to be two toned dark and light coloring, and a ski mask covering his face entered the Sunoco A-Plus at approximately 8:24am.
Police say surveillance video also reveals the suspect was wearing multi-colored underwear, which was exposed at the rear waistline when he bent over. The male walked to the backroom and confronted the employee, keeping his left hand in his pocket, which made the employee concerned there may be a weapon.
The male ordered the employee to stay still, and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash, then walked behind the counter and stole several hundred lottery tickets.
Investigators say the male then left the Sunoco A-Plus, in and out in less than 60 seconds. He walked to the 1600 block of March Street and entered a white Dodge Journey with black rims. The vehicle drove north on Pershing Blvd.
