The Spring Township Police Department is actively seeking the whereabouts of Christian F. Melendez, a 19-year-old male, following a shots fired incident behind Cornwall Terrace Elementary School on Friday, February 9, 2024. Melendez, along with a juvenile male, is believed to be involved in the incident.
At approximately 6:49 PM, officers responded to reports of shots fired, initially believed to have occurred near the Berkshire Hills Townhouses. However, upon further investigation, it was determined that the incident took place behind the elementary school.
Criminal Investigators and School Resource Officers immediately launched an investigation. A crime scene was established and evidence collected.
Firearms and related charge have been filed against Melendez and the 16-year-old juvenile male, who is currently in custody.
Police say Melendez was last seen in the 600 Block of Vester Place in Sinking Spring.
