U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrests Reading homicide suspect in Enola

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane announced the arrest of Justin Santiago, an 18-year-old Reading man.

On December 10, 2020, the Reading Police Department responded to a fatal shooting in the 300 block of Church Street.

Detectives investigated and on December 21, 2021, they obtained an arrest warrant charging Santiago with 2nd degree murder and lesser included offenses. Santiago could not be found, and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was asked to apprehend him.

On Thursday, at about 12:45 p.m., members of the fugitive task force arrested Santiago in the 200 block of Enola Street, Enola, Cumberland County without incident.

He was turned over to the East Pennsboro Township Police Department for booking and arraignment.
