Wyomissing Police Continue to Look for Leads in 2019 Home Invasion/ Homicide Case

District Attorney Adams and Wyomissing Police Chief Phillips held a press conference Thursday afternoon at the Wyomissing Police Department to give an update on the criminal investigation into the 2019 home invasion/ homicide, which occurred on May 6th, 2019 on Birchwood Road, and claimed the life of 37-year-old Na’il Salamov.

The investigation has been active and ongoing two-years. In the press conference, investigators and District Attorney Adams are confident that information exists that can bring closure to the family and hold those responsible. A cash reward of $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

First responders say Salamov was in tremendous pain, but still lucid when they arrived. The victim was able to provide a description of the two assailants.

Police said the victim’s two young sons were home at the time of the homicide. They were not injured.

According to Berks County coroner’s office, Mr. Salamov was taken to the hospital after the shooting. He died at the hospital just before 4am of May 7th, 2019.
