Delaney Circle in West Reading was transformed into a festive wonderland as the 95th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony took center stage. Due to rain, the event was rescheduled from Friday to Monday, December 4th, ensuring that the holiday spirit prevailed.
At 6:30pm, the switch was flipped, illuminating the towering Christmas Tree with a dazzling array of lights. Residents and visitors gathered to witness the spectacle, sipping on warm refreshments and embracing the festive atmosphere. The chilly December air was filled with excitement and joy as the community came together for this cherished tradition.
The event featured spectacular performances by local talents, including a portion of The Nutcracker by Berks Ballet Theatre and the impressive Reading Choral Society. Each act brought a unique touch to the festivities, enhancing the magical ambiance of the evening.
One of the most anticipated moments was the grand arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, who made a memorable entrance aboard a West Reading Fire Truck. The crowd erupted in cheers as the beloved couple joined the celebration, spreading holiday cheer to all in attendance.
