Albright College adds Bill McKay to Total Experience Learning Team

Bill McKay has been named to the Albright College Total Experience Learning (TExpL) leadership team, as the Director of Project Development for pre-college and summer programs.

In this role, McKay will oversee the TExpL Antietam and Reading academy programs, as well as the TExpL Early Career Academy for high school students.

McKay is recognized by peers for his successful initiatives to better education, efforts to support teachers in the classroom, and nurture today’s learners with methods that work.

Possessing an extensive career in public education, Bill McKay began his career as a sixth-grade teacher in the Wilson School District (Sinking Spring, Pa.). After ten years in the classroom, he spent three years as the assistant middle school principal for Twin Valley School District (Morgantown, Pa.).

For another 17 years, McKay served as principal of Twin Valley’s Robeson Elementary School before joining the Governor Mifflin School District (Shillington, Pa.), first as assistant superintendent, and later as superintendent. McKay retired from public education in July of 2023.

A regular presenter on a variety of educational topics at county and state conferences, McKay is also vice president for Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Learning Center and has taught graduate education courses for Alvernia University.
