Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) and Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center (RMCTC) proudly joined forces once again to celebrate the achievements and bright futures of their graduating students at the annual Decision Day celebration, held Thursday afternoon May 1, 2025 at the Miller Center for the Arts at Reading Area Community College.
Modeled after the national Decision Day movement, this event honored students who have committed to a post-secondary path—whether continuing their education, enlisting in the military, or stepping into the workforce. The celebration shined a spotlight on the many accomplishments of these dedicated young professionals who are taking bold steps toward their futures.
“This event is about recognizing our students’ hard work and commitment to excellence,” said Dr. Michael Stauffer, Executive Director of BCTC. “Whether they’ve chosen college, the military, or direct employment, each student has made a decision that deserves to be celebrated.”
The program featured heartfelt student recognitions, inspiring keynote remarks, and opportunities for students to network with community leaders, educators, and peers. Families and supporters gathered to share in the pride of this milestone moment.
“Decision Day is more than just a ceremony,” added Mr. Eric Kahler, Administrative Director of RMCTC. “It’s a celebration of purpose, direction, and the incredible potential our students bring to the table.”
As the skilled workforce continues to grow in importance, both BCTC and RMCTC remain committed to equipping students with the training and confidence needed to thrive. Decision Day exemplifies that mission—amplifying each student’s unique path and reaffirming the value of career and technical education.
