“After a year like no other, we are grateful for the dedication, passion and tenacity of Goddard School teachers across the country,” said Dennis R. Maple, Chairman and CEO of GSI.

“All teachers deserve our appreciation and respect for their tireless work, in and outside the classroom. They are essential to running a successful School and have remained a steadfast source of care and comfort for their students during a tumultuous year. We are delighted to celebrate even more teachers this year for all they do to make the world a better place through early childhood education.”

Schultz is an effervescent, dedicated teacher who loves learning as much as teaching. She created fun, hands-on learning experiences for her toddler classroom complete with characters she became.

During the pandemic, Schultz created a daily teaching video that was shared with the entire School so that children could keep learning at home. In these videos she played an entomologist, a paleontologist, a pirate, and a scuba diver.

Back in the classroom, she was always interacting with her students and asking open ended questions that lead to further learning. She explored with her students as they learned, grew, and became kind, independent, healthy individuals.

“I’m thrilled to be included in this prestigious list with my peers from across the country. Thank you to my colleagues and the School’s families for recognizing my passion for teaching and nominating me for this award,” said Schultz. “I’m so lucky to be part of the Goddard team of caring, creative, and dedicated educators.”
