The free community event will take place at the Berks County Fairgrounds, 1216 Hilltop Road, Leesport. Gates will open at noon, with activities beginning at 2 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Planned activities include live musical entertainment, family-friendly attractions, interactive experiences, local food truck vendors, community engagement opportunities, and a patriotic concert by the Reading Symphony Orchestra. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display.

Organizers said the event is intended to bring together residents of all ages to celebrate both the nation’s history and the local community.

“This event is about celebrating not only our nation’s history, but also the strength and spirit of our local community,” said Charles Bock, president of the Reading Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. “The Star-Spangled Spectacular is being built through collaboration, and we’re proud to offer a free event that brings people together in a meaningful way.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support Helping Harvest, helping provide assistance to local residents facing food insecurity.

In addition to entertainment and food vendors, the celebration will feature opportunities for local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations to participate and engage with attendees through family-oriented activities.

Organizers said the event is being made possible through the support of local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and community sponsors.
