Families were treated to an afternoon of fairytale magic on Saturday, May 10, as Berks Ballet Theatre hosted its whimsical “Cinderella’s Tea Party” ahead of the company’s spring performance at the Miller Center for the Arts.
The tea party welcomed children and their families into a storybook setting filled with themed crafts, character meet-and-greets, and light refreshments. Young guests arrived dressed in their finest royal attire, mingling with Cinderella and other beloved characters from the ballet in a festive prelude to the main event.
Following the tea party, the curtain rose on a special double feature presentation, “Cinderella’s Ball and The Four Seasons.” The performance opened with a reimagining of Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, showcasing the talents of Berks Ballet Theatre’s dancers through choreography inspired by the changing rhythms and moods of the year’s four seasons.
The second act brought audiences into the heart of the classic fairytale with Cinderella’s Ball. The production featured senior company member Kaitlyn Staskel in the title role, alongside Leah Cochran and Annabelle Lieb as the comedic Stepsisters. Guest artist Kfir Danieli appeared as The Prince, and Ethan Schweitzer-Gaslin delighted as The Jester.
The event marked a memorable start to Mother’s Day weekend for many in attendance, blending artistry, laughter, and interactive charm into a family-friendly celebration of the arts.
