Outdoor Art Galleries Dedicated in Downtown Reading

Two new public art installations were dedicated today in downtown Reading focusing on Hope, Healing and Community during the uncertain times of COVID-19.

In the first mural project, the Berks Arts Council partnered with BARTA and South Central Transit Authority to display 8 pieces of artwork installed on the bus shelters on Penn Street.

The artists featured are Katherine Addison, Julia Cocuzza, Theron Cook, Nicolas Fay, Suzanne Fellows, Eric Leatherman, Jennifer Nitka and Alicia Tejada. All artists are current residents of Reading and Berks County.

The second mural project, Berks Arts Council partnered with the Reading parking Authority and dedicated 20 small murals, installed on the South of Penn and 4th and Cherry Garages.

The artists featured are Ailey Albright, Suzanne Biebuyck, Suzanne Cody, Kimberlee Dawn, Greg Didyoung, Emily Dreibelbis, Serena Ercoli, Hannah High, Zoungy Kligge, Jessie Knuth, Ashley Kolpak, Faith Miravich, Cassi Rodriguez, Marlen Sosa-Rosa, Janice Torres, Enlly Torres, Elizabeth Trumbore Tammy Updegrove and Kristen Woodward. All artists are current residents of Reading and Berks County.
