The Borough of Wyomissing will once again host its annual Movies in the Park series this summer and fall, offering four free family-friendly outdoor movie nights at parks throughout the borough.
The 2026 series begins Saturday, Aug. 15, and continues through Oct. 3, with each event inviting residents to bring blankets, lawn chairs, snacks and other outdoor essentials for an evening under the stars.
“Movies in the Park is one of my favorite family nights in the Borough,” Borough Council President Kristen Gajewski said. “As a parent, I love that it gives us a simple way to get the kids together, get out of the house, and have fun close to home. My kids always enjoy seeing their friends, playing before the movie starts, and settling in for the show. It’s the kind of night that reminds you how special it is to raise a family in a community like Wyomissing.”
This year’s schedule includes:
- Saturday, Aug. 15: Sing at Wyomissing Hills Memorial Park at 8 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 11: The Sandlot at Berkshire Heights Playground at 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 26: Space Jam at Happy Hollow Playground at 8 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 3: Toy Story 5 at Stone House Lawn at 7:30 p.m.
According to the borough, the series features a mix of animated favorites, sports-themed classics and a new family release. The opening night celebrates the 10th anniversary of Sing, while The Sandlot brings a baseball classic to the screen ahead of Major League Baseball’s postseason. Space Jam marks the film’s 30th anniversary, and the series concludes with Toy Story 5.
All events are free and open to the public.
The borough encourages attendees to arrive with blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments to enjoy the outdoor screenings. Event reminders, weather updates and additional information will be shared through the Borough of Wyomissing and the Wyomissing Recreation Department’s communication channels.
