The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Blue Marsh Lake will be hosting a Spring Service Day at Blue Marsh Lake in partnership with the Penn State Alumni Association Berks County Chapter on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Friends, families, and community organizations are invited to join other volunteers to participate in a variety of projects to celebrate Earth Day and prepare for the summer season at the park.
Projects for the day will focus on litter pick up, wildlife habitat enhancement through invasive species identification and removal, and park beautification landscaping.
The Penn State Alumni Berks Chapter will be hosting a cookout for volunteers with donations from various local businesses.
Volunteer supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and small hand tools will be provided. Pre-registration is required for this event and due by April 20th.
