Reading City Council held a public meeting on Wednesday evening about the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s order to remove Bernhart’s Dam and to provide the public with the plan for the surrounding park.
The meetings agenda included introduction of elected officials and staff, history of the park’s dewatering and lead remediation, work done to date at the park and the recovery of the environment, next steps to be taken and public comment/questions.
