Annual Street Fair in Robesonia Continues as Food Truck Event

The Coronavirus pandemic has had a detrimental effect on the amusement industry, but that hasn’t stopped James Huey, owner of Huey Amusements from continuing the Robesonia Street Fair tradition.

Located behind Robesonia Borough Hall, the fair has taken on a new look this year with food trucks now lining the basketball court area.

The fair may not look the same as previous years, but that’s not stopping people from showing up. Lines quickly formed at 5pm Friday, as guests awaited the opening of the first food truck.

With our brief time speaking to Huey, he says his food trucks offer a full menu of summertime favorites, burgers, crab cakes, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and more.

Safety is top of mind for Huey, emphasizing that guests should maintain a proper distance from each other while visiting. He also added that all his employees are wearing masks and that hand sanitizer stations are setup throughout the area.

The food truck fair is open Friday 5-9pm, Saturday 12pm to 10pm. Saturday will also feature a fireworks display at the baseball field across the street.

Huey says the fireworks will be launched sometime between 9-9:30pm depending on how dark it is at the time.

All proceeds from the food truck event benefit the Robesonia Street Fair.
