The Garden Club of Reading will host its third annual “Not Just Plants” Plant Sale on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Reading Public Museum’s Stone Terrace Big White Tent.
The event will be held rain or shine, with cash, debit, and credit cards accepted.
Organizers say the sale will feature a wide variety of items, including perennials, annuals, houseplants, hanging plants, and medium- to large-sized planters. Shoppers can also find handcrafted hypertufa containers in various sizes and shapes, along with hypertufa bird baths and small handmade gifts. A kids’ creativity table will also be available during the event.
In addition to plants and handmade items, the sale will include a selection of “garage sale” items related to gardening and floral décor, such as vases, tools, indoor and outdoor containers, patio décor, and gardening and floral design books.
Members of the Garden Club will also be available to help visitors coordinate plant selections based on their needs.
Proceeds from the event support the care of the Reading Public Museum’s Formal Perennial Garden, as well as the club’s programs and workshops focused on gardening, conservation, horticulture, landscaping, floral design, and the arts.
