Berks Community Health Center has shared that the Integrated Behavioral Health team is expanding with the addition of two new behavioral health consultants.
Morgan Driggs is a graduate of Immaculata University, with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Kutztown University, with a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology. Prior to coming to BCHC, Morgan worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and those with co-occurring disorders. Morgan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Pennsylvania Department of State, a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors and a Certified Domestic Abuse Advocate with Safe Berks.
Joanaliz Nieves is a Bi-lingual Licensed Professional Counselor and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Family. Joanaliz completed Kutztown University’s three-year CACREP Master’s Program in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling Program, designed to meet the educational requirements for both the LMFT and LPC licenses. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Kutztown. Joanaliz has worked with a wide array of community agencies within the mental health field, servicing children, families, couples, and individual counseling. Her key areas of focus are working with culturally diverse populations with an emphasis on the Latinx community, survivors of trauma, families and their children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety.
Morgan will rotate between BCHC’s 1110 Rockland St. and 838 Penn St. locations while Joanaliz will split her time between those two locations as well as 1040 Liggett Ave.
Helen Wooten, BCHC’s Director of Behavioral Health, said, “I am excited for Morgan and Joanaliz to join our Behavioral Health team. Having them here enables us to help more patients and make a greater impact on the health of the community.”
