The Exeter Township School District announced Monday that Walmart will provide Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccines to district students and families on May 4-6 from noon to 8pm at the Lausch Administration Building.
District officials say registration is open to Exeter students, alumni, families and residents and students in Exeter, as well as those in other Berks school districts who would like to receive the vaccine.
Insurance is not required and there is no cost to receive the vaccine; however, students under 18 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must sign a consent form.
To register for an appointment, call 800-753-8827 and select option 1. The appointment hotline is open weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm. Vaccine eligibility is open to all students and residents 16 years old and older.
“We’re grateful that Walmart provided this fantastic opportunity to our students, their families and our community members to help us hopefully end the school year a bit more normally than it began,” said Dr. Kimberly Minor, Superintendent.
“This clinic will allow students to attend graduation, travel over the summer and begin work or school in the fall fully vaccinated.”
Those wishing to receive the vaccine are reminded that they must make an appointment to participate in the clinic. The school district is unable to schedule appointments on behalf of students, families or residents.
The Lausch Administration Building is located at 200 Elm Street, Reading, PA 19606. Follow up second-shot appointments will be scheduled during the clinic during May 25-27 from noon to 8pm/
