”To think bigger than our imaginations and to help our community change the course of the impact this pandemic has had on the youth of Reading and Berks County. This virus does not define who we are. The legacy of this organization is that we took action to help break the chains this virus had on our community, especially the youth, and we did whatever it takes for them.”

“When people ask me, ‘Why is the Centro Hispano so passionate about making sure all members of our community are vaccinated?’ I remember times with our senior citizens enjoying time together at the Centro and I want to see us to return to those times of laughter and fellowship” stated Mike Toledo, President and CEO, Centro Hispano.

“I let them know, ‘We are living our mission of service at the Centro and will continue to do our part with our community partners, like Olivet Boys and Girls Club’ and lead with passion and purpose. We all have a role to play, and Centro and Olivet take that role seriously.”

Fadeke Salako, Owner/Pharmacist of Oakside Care Pharmacy said, “We were able to vaccinate members of the Reading Police and Fire Departments, senior citizens, parents, grandparents, people from all walks of life and help our community move another step towards normalcy. The partnership with Olivet and Centro allows us to address the needs in underserved areas of our community and those who serve our community on the frontlines.”
