The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance has announced Karen Norheim, CEO of GRCA member company American Crane & Equipment Corporation 2020 STEP Ahead Awards Honoree.
GRCA played a pivotal role in Norheim’s recognition as she was nominated by Deb Heffner, GRCA Business Outreach Director, and Ellen Albright, GRCA Director of Talent + Workforce, for the award.
“Karen is a champion of our Next Gen Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership, and she is very active in promoting manufacturing careers and STEM,” said Heffner.
“We could not think of a better manufacturing business leader to represent Berks County. We are elated that she is being recognized on a national level.”
The STEP Ahead Awards started in 2012 to recognize and celebrate the top women in the fields of science, technology, engineering and production.
The 2020 STEP Awards will take place Thursday, April 30 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. Both Norheim and GRCA representatives will attend.
