KidsPeace Foster Care, NorthStar United Methodist team up for family-friendly event Nov 12

KidsPeace’s Foster Care office in Temple, PA is partnering with NorthStar United Methodist Church in Reading to hold a special free family event marking November as National Adoption Month.

The “Love Makes A Family” event will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 1 to 5 p.m., at the church at 4350 Perkiomen Avenue in Reading (19606). The event is designed to raise awareness of the need for foster parents, as well as a celebration of children and families who have achieved permanency.

Activities for families attending the free event include music, magic acts, refreshments and more. In additional the classic holiday film “ELF” will be shown starting at 4 p.m. (Seating is limited)

In addition, Boscov’s has announced it will place a donation request at each register in all of their stores through the month of November, raising funds to support KidsPeace’s foster care and community programming. Donations are used to support a child’s journey to permanency – for items like “first night bags,” participation in sports or community activities, craft supplies and more.

Organizers note that this event wouldn’t be possible without the gracious support of NorthStar United Methodist Church and many other additional community partners.
