LGBT Center announces winner of inaugural Pride Tag Artwork Design Contest

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading has announced the winner of its first annual Pride Tag Artwork Design Contest, Brynn Patchell, whose vibrant and inspiring design was selected to represent the inaugural Pride Tag. Launching in Spring 2025, this initiative celebrates creativity, inclusivity, and community pride.

The Pride Tag is a collectible item that symbolizes support for the local LGBTQ+ community. During Pride Month 2025, you can present the tag to participating businesses for exclusive discounts. Proceeds from the Pride Tag sales will directly support The LGBT Center of Greater Reading’s programs, including counseling services, advocacy efforts, and community events.

“We were amazed by the creativity and passion of all the artists who entered the contest. Brynn’s design beautifully captures the spirit of pride and the community’s diversity. We are proud to showcase their talent in this exciting initiative” said Laura Biancone, Executive Director.

Brynn Patchell is a junior at Kutztown University, majoring in Communication Design, and a local Berks Countian. Brynn stated, “I have always used art to explore, express, and accept myself and want to help bring to life the visuals that others need to express anything they can dream of.”

The Pride Tag will be available for purchase starting in April at the LGBT Center of Greater Reading. Participating businesses offering discounts during Pride Month will be listed on The LGBT Center of Greater Reading’s website and social media channels. The LGBT Center of Greater Reading extends its gratitude to the local businesses and community members who have embraced this initiative, helping to make Pride Month 2025 a celebration to remember.
