LightHouse Women & Children’s Center has announced that Fluffy En Route graciously provided their petting zoo for an extra-special October birthday celebration. The event, held in honor of the women and children staying at LightHouse, also marked the Center’s one-year anniversary of serving homeless women and children in our community.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, excitement, and joy as residents and friends of LightHouse interacted with a variety of friendly animals, from bunnies to a miniature highland cow. This unique experience provided a refreshing break from daily routines and created beautiful memories for families working to rebuild their lives.
Dan and Jes, the caring owners of Fluffy En Route, expressed their commitment to LightHouse’s mission, stating, “At Fluffy En Route, we believe in more than just brightening a child’s day with our animals—we believe in restoring hope and dignity. We wholeheartedly support LightHouse’s vision to give women and children a safe, welcoming place to rebuild their lives, regain independence, and find joy along the way. It’s an honor to celebrate with them on this meaningful anniversary.”
Kate Alley, Executive Director of the LightHouse commented, “We are deeply grateful for the generosity of Fluffy En Route and the commitment they have shown to our mission. Their support not only made this birthday celebration unforgettable but also highlighted the importance of community partnerships in helping us restore dignity, stability, and hope for those we serve.”
