Breadth of Hope, LLC has announced that Lizette Epps, a local author, community leader, and advocate, will be honored at the upcoming 2024 International Latino Book Awards ceremony. Her debut book, “Our Voices: Little Stories Through A Latina Lens,” has been awarded Best Young Adult Nonfiction Book and has received an Honorable Mention for The Dolores Huerta Best Cultural & Community Themed Book.
The awards ceremony will take place on October 19, 2024, at Los Angeles City College in California. The International Latino Book Awards (ILBA), the largest Latino literary and cultural awards program in the United States, celebrate works that portray Latino culture, heritage, and identity, recognizing authors who make significant contributions to the literary community.
Released on January 13, 2024, “Our Voices: Little Stories Through A Latina Lens” is a poignant collection of short stories that explores the diverse experiences, challenges, triumphs, and resilience of Latin and Hispanic people across the United States.
