Muhlenberg Township is gearing up for a dazzling celebration as the Holiday Trail of Lights takes center stage on Saturday, December 9th, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. This collaborative fundraising effort by the Muhlenberg Community Library and the Muhlenberg Arts Board promises an enchanting drive-through experience, showcasing the best of holiday lights across the township.
Lights, Tickets, Action! Tickets, priced at $25 per vehicle, are available for purchase at the Muhlenberg Community Library (3612 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale) and the Township Building (210 George St., Reading). As an extra treat, ticket buyers at the library will receive a complimentary book, extending a warm “thank you” to supporters.
A Radiant Route and More The event will feature a carefully curated drive-by tour, spotlighting five homes in the Muhlenberg area bedecked with extraordinary exterior light displays. Each stop promises unique attractions, and participants must present their tickets to partake in the festivities. Bonus stops may include delightful surprises like refreshments, visits from Santa, and more.
Poker Run for Excitement Adding a touch of thrill to the evening, participants can engage in a poker run, collecting cards at each home along the route. The individual with the best 5-card poker hand stands a chance to win $100 in PA scratch-off lottery tickets.
Family-Friendly Fun Encouraging a family-friendly atmosphere, the organizers welcome decorated cars and holiday-themed outfits. Participants can pick up the list of homes at the library starting at 5:30 PM on December 9th. The self-paced event allows flexibility but must be completed by 8:30 PM.
Raffle Extravaganza Prior to the event, the library will showcase its Holiday Basket Raffle, presenting participants with opportunities to win fantastic prizes. Chances are available at 5 for $5 or 15 for $10. The drawing, offering a chance to win without being present, will take place on Monday, December 11th.
