State Rep. Mark Rozzi joined the IM ABLE Foundation to present an adaptive bike to a community member today.
Rozzi and Chris Kaag, founder of IM ABLE, presented the bike to Steve Kreitz, of Wernersville, who lost his leg in a fishing accident. The IM Able Foundation works to remove obstacles that prevent people with disabilities from being physically active, using grants, donations and sponsorship’s to provide equipment to people with physical or cognitive challenges.
“I’ve been proud to support the IM Able Foundation’s great work to make sure individuals with disabilities have access to often expensive equipment that can help them remain active and healthy,” said Rozzi, D-Berks. “I look forward to see what Steve can accomplish with the help of this bike.”
Kaag added: “Since he started coming to the IM ABLE Foundation, Steve has been motivated to achieve more than he ever thought he would be able to do after he lost his leg. He’s such a worthwhile grant candidate. We’re so grateful for the community’s support because it means that Steve can redefine what is possible.”
