“These promotions represent an exciting step forward for Berks Encore,” said LuAnn Oatman, President and CEO. “Andrea and Mindy have demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and a deep commitment to our mission. As we look toward the future, their experience and vision will be instrumental in helping us expand our reach, strengthen our impact, and ensure that older adults throughout Berks County have the resources and opportunities they need to live independently and with dignity.”

In her new position as Chief Program Officer, Gebely will oversee the organization’s programs and services, focusing on improving coordination, strengthening service delivery, and identifying opportunities for growth. Her responsibilities will also include developing partnerships to address the changing needs of older adults and their families.

Oatman said Gebely’s understanding of the organization’s programs and her ability to connect daily operations with long-term planning make her well-suited for the position.

As Chief Development Officer, McIntosh will lead Berks Encore’s fundraising and philanthropic engagement efforts. Her responsibilities will include strengthening relationships with donors, expanding financial support, and developing partnerships to help sustain the organization’s services.

McIntosh will also focus on communicating the impact of Berks Encore’s programs and identifying new funding opportunities.

“Mindy understands that successful fundraising is about much more than securing financial support. It is about building meaningful relationships, connecting people to a mission, and demonstrating the difference their generosity makes,” Oatman said. “Her leadership will be especially important as we work to diversify our funding, engage new supporters, and position Berks Encore for continued growth.”

The leadership changes come as Berks Encore continues to address increasing demand for community-based services and evolving funding challenges.

The organization serves more than 5,500 older adults annually through programs including Meals on Wheels, senior centers, health and wellness initiatives, Medicare counseling, and volunteer opportunities.

According to Berks Encore, the promotions are intended to strengthen both program operations and fundraising efforts, helping the organization maintain and expand services for older residents across the county.

“These promotions are about more than organizational structure,” Oatman said. “They are about building the leadership capacity necessary to move Berks Encore forward. By strengthening both our program delivery and our development efforts, we are creating a more connected, sustainable, and forward-looking organization.”

Berks Encore is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping older adults in Berks County maintain independent, healthy, and meaningful lives through community programs, resources, and support services.
