LightHouse Women & Children’s Center is celebrating the overwhelming success of its 3rd Annual Welcome Home Party, held on May 8th at Redner’s Event Center. The sold-out event drew over 300 guests and generated an outpouring of community support, marking it as LightHouse’s most impactful fundraiser to date.
The evening featured dinner, live entertainment from Erich Cawalla and The Uptown Band, and silent and live auctions packed with exciting items and experiences—all coming together in support of women and children facing homelessness in Berks County. Guests were especially moved by a personal testimony from a LightHouse resident, reminding everyone in attendance of the life-changing work their generosity makes possible.
“Our Welcome Home Party has become a powerful tradition—a celebration of hope and healing,” said Kate Alley, Executive Director of LightHouse Women & Children’s Center. “The generosity shown by our community this year has been nothing short of extraordinary.”
Robert Turchi, CEO of Hope Rescue Mission, echoed the sentiment. “The support we witnessed at this event shows just how deeply our community cares. Every dollar raised is a step closer to giving more women and children the safety, dignity, and support they deserve.”
Proceeds from the event will directly support the operations and programs at LightHouse, which provides trauma-informed care, life-skills training, and safe housing to up to 90 women and children at a time.
Key sponsors of the event included Essig Plumbing and Adams & Associates whose partnership was instrumental to its success.
