To support local families in need, the One Love Project hosted a “Cheery Christmas” food and toy drive-thru distribution Saturday morning at The Gables at Stirling Guest Hotel on Centre Avenue in Reading.
The second food distribution event held by the organization this year, One Love Project partnered with The LGBT Center of Greater Reading, Reading Police Department, 6TENRADIO and Humane Pennsylvania to distribute food, toys, and pet food to the community.
“We cannot think of any better way to bring cheer to families than to give out food and make their children happy by giving out toys” said Timothy Nye.
”This year is a huge struggle for many and we want to do our best to make a change and bring a smile to your kids face.”
The one-day event provided families throughout the community the chance to bring food to their table and toys under their Christmas tree during the holidays.
