Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge Gala raises $200k to support those who can’t afford treatment

The Second Annual Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge and Naaman Center Charity Gala and Awards Ceremony was held at the Reading DoubleTree by Hilton, on Friday, November 5, 2021. The organization was able to raise $200,000 to support those who can’t afford treatment.

Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge is a faith-based organization that works to help young people and adults who struggle with addiction. The organization offers programs from detox through outpatient treatment programs and is located in Tulpehocken Township.

The Vision of Wholeness Award recipients were all three Berks County Commissioners: Christian Leinbach, Kevin Barnhardt and Michael Rivera. A Vision of Faith award was received by Rev. Mark Caston, pastor of the Bridge Church in Hamburg.

The second annual gala included a VIP Sponsor Reception; featured speakers were Bryan Koch, former pastor of GT Church and current VP of Development at PAATC, President and CEO of PAATC, Kris McFadden Sr., and testimony from PAATC intern AJ Miskiewicz. Approximately 300 people attended the Charity Gala.

Although the event was Friday, online donations continue to be accepted at Funds raised help to provide scholarships to men and women overcoming substance abuse through faith and hope.
