ProBerco, a nonprofit organization that provides support services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Berks County, has appointed Erin Miller as its new Human Resources Administrator.
Miller brings more than a decade of experience in human resources within the human services sector. She has previously worked as a recruiter, later advancing to the roles of Human Resources Generalist and Director for a large corporation in the field.
In her new role at ProBerco, Miller aims to strengthen the organization’s human resources department, with a particular focus on employee training and career development. She expressed enthusiasm for expanding professional growth opportunities within the nonprofit. “I enjoy seeing people with no experience grow and move into their positions; finding their niche and excelling,” Miller said.
Miller noted that ProBerco’s investment in career development was a key factor in her decision to join the organization. She believes that by enhancing staff training and preparation, the organization can improve employee retention and recruitment.
A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Applied Psychology, Miller began her career as a case manager for the Reading School District, where she helped high school students work toward their career goals. This experience led her to a career in human resources, including a role at CareerLink.
Miller lives in Fleetwood with her husband, Richard, and their two dogs. Outside of work, she volunteers with PA Terrain Search and Rescue, a local nonprofit that specializes in disaster relief.
ProBerco employs more than 230 people in Berks County as part of its mission to support adults with disabilities.
