Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County is pleased has announced that Sophia Stopper has joined the BCSS team as Program Coordinator. The Board of Directors, team members, and volunteers congratulate and welcome Sophia to the BCSS family.
In her role as Program Coordinator, Sophia will assist the Program Director with research, scheduling presenters, support groups, and program topics.
She will oversee community outreach to identify potential partnerships and collaborations in addition to identifying resources and volunteers. She will analyze data from all programs and resources to ensure positive outcomes for all program participants including breast cancer survivors, their family members, and caregivers.
Sophia is an artist and community builder who has a passion for bringing people together to celebrate joy and creativity. She attended New York University for her Undergraduate studies and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to obtain her Masters. Sophia has lived on four continents: North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and spent much of her time traveling by bookstore. She is curious and eager to experience all life has to offer. One of her fondest memories to date is flying in a hot air balloon above a field of poppies in the Turkish countryside along with one of her best friends.
Sophia resides in Sinking Spring and looks forward to sharing her artistic skills and experience with local breast cancer survivors facilitating creative arts workshops.
