Reading School Board administrators decided Wednesday night to continue virtual classes until at least the Spring. As Berks County’s largest school district with roughly 17,000 students, providing support for students and their families has been the top priority of the Olivet’s Boys and Girls Club organization.
“Olivet Boys & Girls Clubs continues to work with the Reading School District and their families to address the educational needs of the children during the continued pandemic” said President and CEO, Chris Winters.
”Olivet is utilizing safe and secure remote learning support at our sites for the youth of Reading and any Berks County school district student and family struggling with the burden of balancing education of their children and job requirements.”
To help local families, Olivet provides remote learning support services at a rate of $30.00 per child, which will remain for the balance of the school year.
In addition, the organization now has the capacity to handle approximately 100 more children and are urging families to contact their local club for information on how to sign up their children.
The Olivet administrative office is open Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm at (610) 373-1314.
