One Love Project Donates Thanksgiving Meals to Local Families in Need

The One Love Project organized a Thanksgiving meal distribution Tuesday night packing up 10 Thanksgiving meals for families in need within the Berks County area.

Organizers say the idea came To them a months ago when members, Jaime Baez and Chelsea Cappellano, of One Love Project wanted to do more for the community, specifically around the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Thanks to a generous, anonymous donor, funds were provided to purchase 10 Thanksgiving meals, which included a Turkey, Stuffing, Potatoes, Rice, Cranberry Sauce, Vegetables, Bread (donated by ATV Bakery), and dessert.

A box that was dropped off at a recipients door step.

“I can’t think of a better way to kick off the giving season than by helping local families in need.” stated Chelsea Cappellano.

Families were identified through local groups, such as Salvation Army, as well as nominations from the public. All 10 meals were deployed and dropped off on doorsteps last evening.
