The Pennsylvania State Police announced plans to increase enforcement efforts across Berks County and surrounding areas during the Easter holiday weekend.
According to a press release, troopers assigned to Troop L, which covers Berks, Lebanon, and Schuylkill counties, will focus on promoting highway safety and ensuring safe travel throughout the weekend.
State police said enforcement will target a range of traffic violations, including driving under the influence, aggressive driving, tailgating, speeding, and seatbelt usage.
The increased patrols are part of a broader effort to reduce crashes and encourage safe driving during one of the busier travel periods of the spring season.
