The Reading Area Water Authority has announced they will be flushing the high service distribution systems, #1 and #2, beginning Monday May 24, 2021 through Friday June 4, 2021.
Areas impacted by the system flushing are Hampden & College Heights from Robeson Street, North to city line. North 13th Street, East to city line. Spring Street, South to Walnut Street and North 12th Street to North 14th Street.
Hill Road from Perkiomen Avenue, East to city line, Eckert Avenue, from Perkiomen Avenue to Hessian Road. Parts of Clymer Street, Klein Avenue., Haak Street, South 18th Street, and Mineral Spring Road.
East Reading from South 14th Street to Heine Street.
As well as Cotton Street to Highland Avenue.
All of Holly Road, Trooper Road, Eagle Lane, Haag Road and all of Castlewood.
Low water pressure and discolored water may be experienced during this time. The water system should return to normal approximately 30 minutes after flushing is complete.
