RAWA Office Closes following Employee Positive COVID-19 Test

The Reading Area Water Authority has closed their Administrative Office located at 1801 Kutztown Road for sanitization as a precautionary measure after an employee tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.

“In consultation with the Chairman of the Board Steve McCracken and Solicitor Ed Stock, I announced the temporary closure of the Administration Office and ordered all ‘administrative’ employees to work from home until further notice” said Bill Murray Executive Director.

“Our maintenance vendor will be performing a disinfection and sanitization procedure. The Administrative Office will remain closed until it is determined to be safe.”

According to Murray, the public had very limited access to the lobby for the past few months, and policies and procedures have been in place and adhered to for several months.

Customers are directed to call (610) 406-6300 and leave a message and a Customer Service Representative will return your call as quickly as possible.

RAWA does not anticipate any disruption in services.

“I want to thank our employees for their cooperation and for acting promptly in the best interest of everyone and their sensitivity in handling this situation.”
