Employees at Reading Hospital brought lots of love to patients this Valentine’s Day.

On Wednesday, February 14, the Environmental Services (EVS) team at Reading Hospital delivered 700 carnations and cards to patient rooms. The team members were very excited to reintroduce this sweet gesture, which had been temporarily paused due to COVID-19.

The delivery of flowers and cards was a team effort. From assembly to delivery, many departments helped to make this act of kindness possible.

“Thank you to the Environmental Services team for this thoughtful gesture and always thinking of our patients,” said Charles F. Barbera, MD, President and CEO of Reading Hospital. “Reading Hospital has the most caring and compassionate employees that you will ever meet. I love hearing about all the positive experiences and acts of kindness that happen each day at our hospital.”
